CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION

Here is a Self Management Tool for Windows that you would like to use all the
time. Give "InfoBar" to your imaginative mind and see your productivity soar as never before!  They say where you put your attention is where you get your results. This nifty little program will allow you to record your progress in six user definable areas. You rate yourself between 0 and 100% and then UPDATE the information to an ascii file for later graphing in Excel/Lotus or any way you like. Run multiple copies for large projects.

Runs on Microsoft Windows 3.0 or later.  Shareware.


INTRODUCTION

InfoBar is a Self Management tool that will allow you to monitor and improve your productivity in any area of your life that you wish. If you want to be happier, just start monitoring how happy you feel on a regular basis and watch the results. (InfoBar won't make you happier yet it will show you how happy you've been and you can then change your actions in order to get the results you prefer.)
Of course the percentage scaling that you set can be used as a scale on any target you want to achieve. 
Say your sales target is to make 100 Phone Calls, 20 Appointments and send out 20 Quotes in order to Complete 10 Sales Cycles and Achieve a target of $10000.

Well you can monitor every step of your progress in the same screen using InfoBar. 

I've found InfoBar really useful for measuring things that you really only have a feel for how far done they are, especially if they take a long time to work through ie: You've been plugging away at the same project for a month or more and it really looks as if nothing has happened, well now you can measure your progress day by day. 

Every time you UPDATE (click the [UPDATE] button) the date and time gets written out to a comma delimited record in the .ibd file with the 6 percentage values. It really easy to see in Excel how you've been doing over time by importing and graphing the data.

InfoBar is a Windows program and requires use of Microsoft Windows 3.0 or later. 

Install it by copying it to any directory that you want, I use my Windows directory (it's so full of Stuff what's a little more), but you could also create an INFOBAR directory.

You can pass through a commandline filename that you want it to open when it is started 
eg: c:\windows\infobar.exe targ1294.ibd
Targ1294.ibd is the file I use to monitor my progress on achieving my Targets to the End of December 1994.

I've installed the .ibd extension as a file association so that I can launch InfoBar by double clicking on any .ibd file using file manager.


HARDWARE/SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS : 

InfoBar runs on IBM compatible's and requires the use of Microsoft Windows 3.0 or later.
	

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

I have installed my copy of InfoBar in my C:\Windows directory and then created the Icon to run it in my Business Applications Group using File Manager.
When you register InfoBar (see below for full details) it will create an InfoBar.ini file in the same directory that will contain your registration name and code.

PLEASE REGISTER TO SUPPORT THE AUTHOR

InfoBar is a Shareware program. That means you are expected to pay a
registration fee to the author in order to continue using this
software beyond the initial trial period of thirty days. Remember, the
author is not compensated for his efforts if you do not register.
With your support it is possible for the author to continue providing
enhancements for InfoBar and to provide other quality software in
future at affordable prices.

A Registered version of InfoBar will display your registration name when you access the About option, the "Annoying Shareware Reminder" will no longer display and we trust it will also give you a deep sense of satisfaction in supporting both us to improve InfoBar and develop further applications that support our sense of achievement and motivation (look for our upcoming Affirmations package in the near future).
We also tithe a 10% royalty from the registration of this package to a Charitable Trust (Planet Inc. Foundation) to improve our Environment by means of Environmental Cleanup programs and operations.

If you are not satisfied with InfoBar after registering for any
reason, you can tell us specifically why within 30 days and receive a 90% refund, your 10% goes to the environment anyhow.
